Welcome to the team

Of course, the intern's experience at Roland Berger is unlike that of a graduate, who can start right off as a consultant. But one thing is true for anyone who joins us: Roland Berger's DNA is absolutely unique. Our values of excellence, partnership and entrepreneurship are obvious right away. This short tour will demonstrate how we welcome you and the tasks and experiences that await you during your first hundred days at Roland Berger.

Kickoff Training

Starting off: Training camp

Several times a year, Roland Berger organizes introductory training for new staff from around the world. For two weeks, you will learn everything you need to know about the company and our modus operandi, and get to know many of your new colleagues. To help you prepare for your new responsibilities, there are workshops, lectures, case studies and team exercises. This "Kickoff Training", as we call it, is your initiation into the Roland Berger world, and the fun you'll have with new colleagues is right up at the top of the list. You'll be building your own Roland Berger network, which will endure far beyond the training.

Basic equipment

A laptop and smartphone are waiting

Even the most restless consultant needs a home. During the first few days, you can move into your office and you'll be supplied with the essentials: business cards, smartphone, a laptop and your personal password.

Your new life

Boarding at 7:15 a.m.

The weeks now have a new rhythm, and living out of suitcases in various cities is a part of it. You normally work with clients four days a week. On Fridays, you are usually in your home office and interact with colleagues. Over time, you become acquainted with the unfamiliar cities and you can find your way to a lot more places than just to your client. You often go to dinner with your team or participate in sports together.

Acclimatization period

You've arrived

The first wave of uncertainty is gone. You're finding your way around better and more quickly each day. You have established initial contacts with clients and have successfully gotten through your first presentations. Soon you take over your "own" project module. Your Project Manager will support you as coach. You talk regularly with your mentor – a Partner or Principal – regarding your development. Your acclimatization period officially ends after the first evaluation round: at last you are a Roland Berger Strategy Consultant! But this ...

… is only the beginning.
