The second step

If your qualifications meet our requirements, we'll invite you to face-to-face interviews. We'll already know from your application what you have studied and the experience you have gained. When we meet with you in person, we'd like to learn more about your personality, how you approach issues and go about finding creative solutions. We present case studies that we expect you resolve in interaction with your interviewer. So take the opportunity to convince us of your skills – and also to learn more about us. You'll be getting an impression of the way we work, our corporate culture and your potential colleagues. We don't just have questions for you, but we also take time to answer your questions. Ultimately, you should be finding out for yourself whether Roland Berger is the ideal employer for you! The selection process takes about six to eight weeks from the time of your application until the contract is signed – depending on the career level and when you'd like to start.

In interviews geared toward personality and professional skills, we want to find out whether you will contribute the skills that make a difference as a consultant at Roland Berger. These include analytical skills and good verbal and numerical comprehension. In a case study, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate these skills in practice. And it won't only be about finding the "right" solution. Rather, we pay attention to how you argue and whether you can defend your concept in spite of criticism. In a feedback session, we will talk about where we see your strengths and weaknesses.

If you make a persuasive first impression, we invite you to a second round of talks in one of our international offices, depending on where you want to start.
